Martha Nims made this beautiful hand-beaded, quilted wall hanging as a fund raiser for The Community Cabinet donated by her organization, the Soroptimist! The Soroptimist have been long time supporters of The Community Cabinet/The Women’s Cabinet. The quilt took Martha over 6 weeks to design and complete. It is wonderful that she chose to share her gift this way. Thank you and God bless Martha and all who purchased raffle tickets! Gaela
The raffle ended June 29, 2004.
And the winner is… Leroy Domatelli !
Leroy works for the Sierra Pacific Power Company. Leroy and his beautiful wife Patty have fostered over 350 children, from infants to young adults, over the past decade. Leroy and Patty gathered and brought toys last year to the Paiute Indian Foster Grand Parents program, from the Esther Project and others. Their mom, Ruth, gave us her homemade bake goods to raise money for the quilt project. It’s wonderful to see that the Hawaii Labor of Love Quilt is going to a family that has so extended their hearts in a labor of love. Everyone who participated is a winner and has help us raise $790.00!
